Went there for a school trip the wait staff was amazing. We had the wagyu short ribs and they were to die for.

We had the best waitress in town! She was amazing and so patient with all my food allergies and preferences for food that wasn't spicy. We didn't love this enough to be back but the staff was delightful. The flavors will be right for many. Try it!

Loved the food and the customer service here. A very lovely restaurant in downtown Austin serving delicious food and drinks. Our waiter recommended the daily special salad and we loved it. Grilled bell peppers with I don't remember what but it was heavenly. The wedge salad was amazing so was the Mac and cheese. The brisket was perfectly cooked and the ribs were out of this world delicious. The restaurant is beautiful, has two stories and is located in a very historic building among the new huge builds. I love the charm of this place and the food. If you are ever in Austin don't hesitate to try this place out.

Giving this place a 4 for the live music, staff, and appetizers. We sat upstairs during dinner and listened to the live music - the jazz band was fabulous!! It is very loud though so don't expect to have too many conversations during dinner if you are sitting near them like we did. However, great upstairs bar next to the band if you are dining alone or just want to drink and listen to the band. We started with the "CHIPOTLE QUESO WITH BURNT ENDS" this appitizer was amazing! Some of the best queso I have ever had. I recently watched a TikTok video where people reviewed 12 different queso's in Austin and this was ranked as #1. They also give you free cornbread that is yummy. For our entree we got the "THREE MEAT SAMPLER". The actual BBQ itself was alright - it's the reason why I knocked it down to 4 stars. I personally would only go back for drinks and appetizers. We also got a side of mac and cheese that was very good. Pros: Appetizers, Staff, Atmosphere, Bar Cons: bbq

I'm not a huge BBQ fan, but when in Texas, right? I REALLY liked the crispy boar ribs. I got the short rib for an entree which was WAY too big, I kid you not it was the size of my arm! But it was delicious. Again, not a huge "slab of meat for dinner person". I think I probably could have just ordered the boar ribs app and been just fine! Oooh, the red snapper ceviche was fantastic! I love the atmosphere, classy and a little dark- we came on a weekday so no live music. The only BBQ place I could find that was open late and takes reservations

Visiting Austin for the first time. We had a free night to dine out while here for meetings. Lamberts was close to the hotel and the reviews were good so we decided to give it a whirl. We had a really nice time. The service was excellent. Our waitress guided us well through the menu. We ordered the Boar Ribs and some cheese dip. Sooo good. I went for the BQ sample. The brisket was so good, I could have just ordered it and been happy. We also enjoyed some family style sides: Mac and cheese, greens and Cole slaw. Everything was so good. Overall we really enjoyed the evening. We didn't have time to venture upstairs for the live music but it sounded fun.

Mid afternoon stop on a busy Saturday and sat at the bar. Upon looking at the menu, decided to add food to a stop for something to drink. The barbeque chicken sandwich was huge and full of delicious chicken. I did not eat the two crispy pieces of skin on the top nor the countless pieces of jalapeƱo on the bottom. I deconstructed it and really enjoyed the chicken and the slight kick in the sauce. Chose coleslaw over fries and it has a unique pickle taste that wasn't to my liking, but all was ok as the sandwich filled me up. Lamberts is in a historic building which added to the experience in a positive way. I can now say I had barbecue when I was in Austin.

Came here for a group dinner for a classic Texan BBQ meal. The restaurant is inside a loft-like, industrial setting. The service was good and she highlighted the best dishes. We ordered the crispy wild boar ribs and crispy string beans to share, and we each ordered our own dish for mains. My team opted each to get their famous beef brisket, however I learned from our server this would be half a pound of straight up meat. Instead I debated with our server about the shrimp and grits of the roasted chicken. She suggested the shrimp as the chicken would be dry. My shrimp and grits were good, it was a blackened seasoning on the shrimps, and I liked the texture of the grits, my only issue was that this dish was far too oily for my liking. The grits were dunked in a lot of oil. I normally don't cook with much oil. I also tried a bit of the brisket, it was definitely good and juicy! Our table loved the broccoli side! And we ended with the banana pudding, which was delicious! Reminded me of the Magnolia's in NYC. Overall, solid BBQ spot, however my shrimp and grits was far too oily, and desserts are great.

Came here after a late show across the street and loved the chill, intimate vibe combined with amazing food! Every dish we had at the table was phenomenal. I didn't take any pictures of the lamb... but oh my goodness it was unreal Loved both cocktails we had, the holidaze and figgy. They're both seasonal, but it makes me think the rest of their fun sounding drinks are just as good!
